The break-ins, which were initially reported on Nixle, prompted a collaborative investigation by the Uniformed Services Division and the Criminal Investigations Division, led by Detective Joran Merced. The crimes were traced back to locations on the 300 block of Cedar Street and Stroud Street, where detectives uncovered evidence linking Carter to the burglaries.
Carter was taken into custody last Tuesday without incident and now faces multiple charges, including:

Attempted second-degree burglary
Receiving stolen property under $1,500
Following his arraignment in New Castle County Court of Common Pleas, Carter was remanded to Howard R. Young Correctional Institution on a $6,000 cash-only bail. Authorities have not ruled out the possibility of additional charges as the investigation remains ongoing.
