Jake Smith Pleads Guilty to Two Burglary Charges

Smith to be sentenced in April after admitting theft and burglary

by Amelia Crawford

Jake Smith, 34, appeared via video link from HMP Five Wells, Wellingborough, at Oxford Crown Court on Friday, February 14, where he pleaded guilty to two counts of burglary, dwelling, and theft, with no violence involved. Smith will be sentenced on April 10 at the same court.

This conviction follows his previous sentence in 2023, where he had pleaded guilty to outraging public decency after being caught engaging in oral sex with a woman near a charity shop on St Ebbe’s Street.

During that earlier hearing, Smith represented himself and offered little in terms of mitigation, simply stating: “It is what it is.”

Smith’s upcoming sentencing for the burglary charges will be awaited on April 10.
