LAREDO, Texas — Jaiden Isaiah Garcia, 19, was arrested after allegedly holding his girlfriend hostage in a Laredo residence, according to police.
Officers responded around 9:41 p.m. to the 100 block of Tours Lane following a report of kidnapping. Authorities found Garcia hiding in the attic of the home with his girlfriend. Police said the incident stemmed from an argument over the relationship.
A black Taurus G3C pistol was recovered near where Garcia had been hiding. The firearm was reported stolen from the San Antonio Police Department, police added.
Garcia was arrested and charged with aggravated kidnapping, interference with an emergency call, possession of a controlled substance, theft of a firearm, and unlawful carrying of a weapon.
He was booked into the Laredo jail on $120,000 in bonds, according to jail records.
