Martinsville, VA — Jahil Arman Martin, 23, of Greensboro, has been arrested in connection with the 2023 murder of Nyjeon Dameae Brandon, a 20-year-old Martinsville resident. The arrest occurred on February 18, 2025, following a collaborative investigation between the Martinsville Police Department, Greensboro Police, and the North Carolina Bureau of Criminal Investigations.
Martin has been charged with first-degree murder and is being held without bond pending extradition to Virginia.
The case dates back to July 9, 2023, when Brandon was brought to Sovah Health Martinsville with gunshot wounds. He later died from his injuries. The shooting occurred while Brandon was a passenger in a vehicle in the 300 block of Commonwealth Boulevard.
