Columbus, MS — A Columbus man has been arrested for porch piracy after allegedly stealing packages during the holiday season.
The Lowndes County Sheriff’s Office identified 20-year-old Jaheim Hayden through Ring Doorbell footage and social media tips. He was taken into custody Wednesday morning for mail theft.
Sheriff Eddie Hawkins reminded residents that, as of July 2025, mail theft is a felony, and offenders can face prison time. Hayden is also under investigation for another property theft.
