In a shocking incident, Jagat Vishwakarma, a 35-year-old watchman, was arrested for murdering his 14-day-old daughter in Golconda. The accused, originally from Nepal, had been residing in Hyderabad with his wife Gauri and their three children.

According to Golconda ACP Syed Fayaz, Jagat, who worked at an apartment complex in Gushan Colony, Tolichowki, committed the heinous act in a drunken rage while his wife was asleep. At the time of the incident, the couple had two surviving children: a 4-year-old daughter and the 14-day-old infant.

In his drunken state, Jagat violently attacked the infant in front of his 4-year-old daughter, before dumping the baby’s body in a garbage bin near Seven Tombs Road. The body was discovered by local residents, who immediately alerted the police.

Jagat’s wife, Gauri, filed a complaint stating that her husband had exhibited erratic and violent behavior in the past, which had raised concerns.

After his arrest, Jagat confessed to the crime, and the police have taken him into custody. Authorities are continuing their investigation, and Jagat is expected to face serious charges for the brutal act.
