FORT MORGAN, CO – A months-long drug investigation has led to the arrest of 24-year-old Jade Montoya in Fort Morgan, according to the Fort Morgan Police Department (FMPD).
In a press release issued Friday, April 18, FMPD stated that Montoya was implicated in a cocaine distribution conspiracy based on evidence gathered earlier this year. Detectives uncovered details pointing to her alleged involvement in selling cocaine in the local community and identified other individuals linked to the operation.
An arrest warrant was issued earlier this week, ordering Montoya to be held without bond until her court appearance. She surrendered to police on Thursday, April 18, and made her initial court appearance the following day, where her bond was set at $10,000 cash or surety.
Authorities emphasize that Montoya is presumed innocent until proven guilty in court, and the investigation into the broader drug operation remains ongoing.
