JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (CBS12) — A significant drug bust led to the seizure of over 160 pounds of narcotics and seven firearms in Jacksonville on Monday, following a burglary investigation.
The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office (JSO) responded to a burglary in progress and discovered a large stockpile of illegal substances and weapons. With the support of the Narcotics and Vice Section, a search warrant was obtained, leading to the arrest of 25-year-old Sean Reed.
Among the items seized were 167 pounds of marijuana, 37.3 pounds of marijuana edibles, 120.4 grams of marijuana oil, $7,660 in cash, and $10,000 worth of jewelry.
Reed now faces serious charges, including trafficking marijuana over 25 pounds or 300 plants, possessing paraphernalia for drug manufacturing or delivery, and operating a property used for drug sales.
Authorities also noted that Reed had been previously arrested earlier this year on similar gun and drug-related charges. The investigation remains ongoing as Reed faces multiple legal consequences.
