ITAWAMBA COUNTY, Miss. — A man has been arrested in Itawamba County on drug charges following a traffic stop on February 19. Riley Chase Hill was taken into custody after authorities discovered a large quantity of suspected methamphetamine and marijuana during the stop.
According to a press release from the Itawamba County Sheriff’s Department, North Mississippi Narcotics agents, Fulton Police Department, and Itawamba County deputies executed the stop on Scenic Hill Road. An investigation ensued, which led to the discovery of the drugs.
Hill, 33, has been charged with aggravated trafficking of a Schedule II controlled substance (methamphetamine) and felony possession of marijuana with intent to distribute. These serious charges could result in significant legal consequences.
Justice Court Judge Holcomb has set Hill’s bond at $175,000. Hill was transported to the Itawamba County Jail following his arrest, where he remains in custody.
