CANUTILLO, Texas (KFOX14/CBS4) — A man was arrested on Tuesday after allegedly stealing thousands of dollars in car parts from a business in Canutillo, Texas.
According to the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office, 36-year-old Ismael Soria Zamarripa was found at a business on the 6600 block of Doniphan Drive — near State Highway Spur 16 — without authorization to be on the premises.
After further investigation, deputies discovered that Zamarripa had taken 18 automotive transmissions, valued at approximately $14,400.
He was taken into custody and booked into the El Paso County jail in Downtown El Paso. Zamarripa is facing charges of criminal trespass and property theft, with a total bond set at $10,100.
As of Wednesday evening, jail records confirm that Zamarripa remains in custody.
