New Delhi: The Delhi Police have arrested three burglars in connection with a major house break-in at the residence of a senior citizen in Ambedkar Nagar, South Delhi.

The accused have been identified as Ishaq Kalua (24), Pawan (26), and Bharat (23). Police said Pawan and Bharat are habitual offenders with prior involvement in similar crimes.

The case was registered on January 1, after the victim returned home to find her house ransacked, the main gate handle broken, and her gold and silver jewellery along with cash—described as her lifelong savings—missing.

During the investigation, police examined CCTV footage, which showed three masked individuals entering the house around 3 am. Using technical surveillance and local intelligence, officers tracked down the suspects.

The trio was eventually arrested from Nala Road in Pushp Vihar, Saket, while riding a stolen scooter and carrying the stolen property.

Police have recovered the valuables and are continuing further investigation to determine whether the accused are linked to other burglary cases in the area.
