Irvine, Calif. (May 16, 2025) — Irvine Police have arrested five suspects, believed to be part of a transnational organized burglary crew, in connection with a residential break-in and other crimes across Southern California.
The investigation began on Easter Sunday, April 20, when a resident on Cultivate Street contacted police after receiving home surveillance alerts showing strangers inside his home. Officers arrived quickly but found the suspects had fled. The home had been ransacked, with designer purses, shoes, and jewelry reported stolen. Still images of the intruders were provided to police for immediate distribution.
While securing the area, an officer stopped a suspicious vehicle. The driver, 24-year-old Fontana resident Jhon Osorioarias, claimed he was delivering food but could not provide a delivery address. A search of his vehicle revealed suspicious items, and he was arrested for driving without a license and brought in for further questioning.
Detectives later determined that Osorioarias was part of a coordinated burglary operation. Surveillance and investigative work over the next month helped identify additional suspects and link them to multiple burglaries across the region.
On May 15, Irvine detectives, supported by the department’s drone team and Real Time Crime Center, executed a targeted operation in Fontana. The following suspects were arrested:
Jesus Hernandezchavez, 42, Fontana
John Fredy Sanabria, 42, Fontana
Duber Salarte, 48, Fontana
Isneidy Ortiz Valencia, 29, Colton
All were booked into Orange County Jail on charges including burglary, conspiracy, and possession of narcotics.
Search warrants at locations in Fontana and Colton uncovered further evidence connecting the group to the Irvine break-in. The investigation remains active, and more charges may be filed as evidence is reviewed.
