In a shocking case from Haryana’s Nuh district (Mewat), the police have arrested two men, Irshad and Ejaz, for running a fraudulent scheme promising men lakhs of rupees for impregnating childless women. The accused operated over four Facebook accounts, posting fake advertisements targeting men with promises of large payments in return for assisting childless women in conceiving.
The advertisements, which featured random images of women, claimed that men could earn substantial amounts by helping women get pregnant. When victims responded to these ads, they were asked to pay money under the guise of “registration fees” and “filing costs.”
After collecting the money, Irshad and Ejaz would block the victims, leaving them with no way to recover their funds. The police were stunned by the scale of the deception and the exploitation of vulnerable individuals through social media.
Following an investigation, Irshad and Ejaz were arrested and charged under five sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). The duo was produced before a local court in Nuh, where they were remanded into judicial custody while further investigations continue.
