Three suspects have been arrested in Connecticut and are being extradited to Maryland in connection with the theft of a rare guitar valued at $15,000, according to Bel Air Police Department.

Authorities identified two of the suspects as Ionut Kenzo Stoica, 18, and Milescu Alexa Teodora, 19, both from Roselle, New Jersey. A third suspect, a juvenile from Middlesex, New Jersey, was also taken into custody. The arrests were carried out by the Greenwich Police Department on March 11.

The suspects are accused of stealing a 1947 Martin D-28 acoustic guitar from Music Land in Bel Air on February 3. Despite the arrests, the valuable instrument has not yet been recovered.

Police said four individuals were initially involved in the break-in. Investigators identified the suspects by February 27 and secured arrest warrants soon after.

The case involved extensive coordination between federal and local law enforcement agencies, as well as private sector partners, across multiple states including California, Connecticut, Maryland, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and Washington.

Authorities also noted potential links between the suspects and other musical instrument thefts under investigation in Maryland and New Jersey.

The investigation remains ongoing as officials continue efforts to recover the stolen guitar.
