The Kottayam West police arrested Inspector C.P. Sajayan on Wednesday for his alleged involvement in an overseas job scam. Sajayan, 47, hailing from Changanassery, had been working as an inspector at the Thoppumpady police station in Ernakulam.
Sajayan’s arrest follows that of Preethi Mathew, 50, who operated CanAssure Consultancy Services in Kottayam. Both are implicated in a fraudulent overseas employment scheme. Before his arrest, Sajayan had already been suspended from his position due to his suspected links to the scam. The police are continuing their investigation into the case.
