In a major anti-narcotics operation, the Indore Crime Branch apprehended three men involved in transporting 513 grams of MD drugs, officials confirmed on Thursday.
The accused were identified as Nikhil, Mukesh from Mandsaur, and Kamlesh from Rajasthan. Police intercepted them on MR-4 Road as they attempted to flee, leading to the swift seizure of the contraband.
DCP Rajesh Kumar Tripathi stated that the MD drugs seized are valued at approximately Rs 1 crore on the street. The arrest comes under directives issued by the Chief Minister to crack down on narcotics trafficking in the region.
A case under the NDPS Act has been registered, and authorities are working to trace the broader network involved in the illegal drug trade.
