INDIANAPOLIS — A woman from Indianapolis has been arrested following a carjacking and subsequent police chase on the city’s northeast side.

The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) reported that 45-year-old Latosha Hall faces preliminary charges including driving while suspended with a prior conviction, possession of marijuana and paraphernalia, resisting law enforcement, and battery on a public safety official.

The incident began when officers were called to the 5900 block of Devington Road on Saturday regarding a delayed robbery. Upon arrival, a male victim reported being struck in the head with a glass bottle as he left a gas station near East 46th Street. The victim said his vehicle, phone, wallet, and keys were stolen. He received treatment for head trauma at the scene before being released.

Later, police spotted a stolen vehicle driven by Hall. When officers attempted to stop her, a brief chase ensued. Hall eventually stopped and exited the vehicle but fled on foot, leading officers on a foot pursuit before she was taken into custody.

The Marion County Prosecutor’s Office will decide on the final charges.
