Imran Hussain Held With Heroin in Samba Drug Bust

24.40g heroin seized by Bari Brahmana police team

In its ongoing crackdown on drug trafficking, Samba police arrested a drug smuggler and seized approximately 24.40 grams of heroin (chitta) during a routine vehicle check in Bari Brahmana.

The arrest was made by a police team led by the SHO of Police Station Bari Brahmana, under the supervision of the SDPO Bari Brahmana, and overall direction of SSP Samba Viriender Manhas. The suspect was intercepted while driving a car near the BBIA Club, moving from Balole Khad towards Bari Brahmana.

Upon a thorough search of the vehicle, 24.40 grams of heroin-like substance was recovered from the driver’s possession. The accused was identified as Imran Hussain, son of Mohammad Afzal, a resident of Dhanore Jarallan in Rajouri district.

Following the recovery, Hussain was immediately taken into custody. The contraband substance and the vehicle bearing registration number PB35U-7185 were also seized.

The police have registered a case and initiated further investigation to trace the source and network involved in the smuggling operation.
