VILIMALE’, MALDIVES – The Drug Enforcement and Counter Narcotics Intelligence arrested three suspects in a drug operation on March 9, 2025.
Arrested Individuals & Seizures
The suspects were identified as:
Ibrahim Imad (30)
Mohamed Simrah (43)
Salah Shihab (45)
During the search, authorities seized 57.78 grams of suspected drugs along with MVR 241,000, believed to be proceeds from drug trafficking.
Legal Proceedings
Simrah and Salah were remanded for 15 days.
Imad was released by the court, but police have appealed the decision.
Authorities continue to investigate the case as part of ongoing efforts to combat drug trafficking in the Maldives.
