TARRANT COUNTY, Texas (KXII) — Andrew Harvey, head football coach and athletic director at Howe, has been arrested on serious charges involving child exploitation. Harvey is currently held at the Tarrant County Corrections Center.
Harvey joined Howe ISD as head coach and athletic director in May 2024 after serving several years as the team’s defensive coordinator. Following his arrest, Superintendent Kevin Wilson placed Harvey on administrative leave, barring him from district property and any contact with students or staff during the ongoing investigation.
The charges against Harvey include solicitation of prostitution involving a person under 18, online solicitation of a minor, and sale, distribution, or display of harmful material to a minor. Despite passing a criminal background check prior to his 2022 hiring, Howe ISD is cooperating fully with law enforcement.
In response to the incident, the Howe Athletic Booster Club released a statement condemning child exploitation and expressing support for the investigation.
The investigation remains active as the district and authorities work to ensure student safety.
