Hopewell Man Arrested for March Restaurant Robbery

Raymont Tasco charged with robbery, assault, and firearm offenses

HOPEWELL, Va. (WRIC) — Hopewell Police have arrested Raymont Tasco in connection with a robbery at K&L BBQ in March. The incident occurred on March 1, 2023, when four armed and masked individuals entered the restaurant located at 1400 Maple Street at 7:32 a.m.

The investigation revealed that the suspects assaulted several employees and held them at gunpoint while stealing an undisclosed amount of cash. Following months of investigation, police made an arrest on Wednesday, December 18, charging Tasco with multiple felonies, including robbery and the use of a firearm during the commission of a felony.

Tasco, a Hopewell resident, was taken into custody and is being held without bond at Riverside Regional Jail.
