MOBILE, Ala. (Fox 10 News) — HoneyKomb Brazy, the rapper born Nashon Jones, was sentenced to 30 months in prison on February 14, 2025, after pleading guilty to being a felon in possession of a firearm. The case, which began in December 2023, involved a traffic stop during which police discovered two firearms in the vehicle Brazy was in.

On December 18, 2023, during a traffic stop, Brazy, along with his bodyguards, Miguel Wayne Hall and Mason Demetrius Fuller, were found with a Girson MC28 SA 9mm pistol and a Smith & Wesson MP 15 AR pistol. Following the arrest, federal authorities took over the case, and Brazy was indicted in January 2024.

In May 2024, Brazy’s bodyguard, Miguel Wayne Hall, pleaded guilty to the same charge. After initially pleading not guilty, Brazy eventually entered a guilty plea in July 2024.

During his sentencing, Brazy expressed regret for his actions. “I wanted to be a great man,” he said. “I just didn’t know how. … I really want to do right.” The judge urged Brazy to use his influence to create positive change moving forward.

Brazy’s attorney, Josh Briskman, emphasized that Brazy had been targeted by violence in the past, with his family also suffering violence, leading to the need for security. However, it was revealed that his bodyguards were not legally authorized to carry the firearms.

Having been in custody since his arrest, Brazy will receive credit for time already served during his sentence.
