NELSON COUNTY, Ky. — A high-speed motorcycle chase through Nelson and Marion counties on Saturday night ended with the arrest of Frank Livers, who now faces multiple charges, including drug trafficking.
According to the Nelson County Sheriff’s Office, a sergeant conducting speed enforcement on JT Riggs Road around 8:51 p.m. spotted a motorcycle traveling at high speed. When the officer attempted a traffic stop, Livers allegedly fled onto Gap Knob Road, leading deputies on a six-mile pursuit that ended at a driveway on Homestead Valley Road in Marion County.
Authorities said Livers reached for his waistband before being tased and arrested. Deputies recovered 62 grams of suspected methamphetamine and a scale at the scene.
Livers was charged with multiple offenses, including:
Speeding 15 mph over the limit
First-degree fleeing or evading police (motor vehicle)
First-degree wanton endangerment of a police officer
Disregarding a stop sign
Driving with a suspended or revoked license
Possession of an open alcoholic beverage container
First-degree trafficking in a controlled substance (meth)
Possession of drug paraphernalia
Failure to maintain required insurance
The Nelson County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that Livers was taken into custody without further incident.
