In a coordinated crackdown on drug trafficking in Punjab, police teams in Fazilka and Ferozepur arrested four individuals and seized more than 4 kilograms of heroin.
During a special campaign against drug smugglers, Fazilka police, led by Inspector Sunil Kumar and supported by the BSF, apprehended Sandeep Singh alias Naibu and Gurpreet Singh alias Gori, both residents of Basti Keran Wali. Authorities recovered 1.095 kg of heroin, one magazine, a live bullet, and two mobile phones from their possession. A case has been registered at Jalalabad Sadar police station.
Meanwhile, the Anti-Narcotics Task Force (ANTF) in Ferozepur intercepted two men based on a tip-off, seizing 3.132 kg of heroin. The arrested individuals are Arshdeep Singh alias Arsh (20) from Ladhuwala Hittar and Sukhchain Singh (19) from Hazara Ram Singh Wala, Jalalabad. Investigations revealed that Arshdeep Singh is a repeat offender previously wanted by the Mohali ANTF for a 4.1 kg heroin seizure. A case has been registered at ANTF police station, Ferozepur, under sections 21 and 29 of the NDPS Act.
Police continue to investigate the drug supply network, aiming to trace both the suppliers and distributors involved in the operation.
