Hattiesburg Man Arrested in Connection with Stolen Vehicle

Marcus Loftin, 26, Faces Grand Larceny and Auto Burglary Charges

A 26-year-old man has been arrested in Hattiesburg in connection with a stolen vehicle. According to a press release from the Hattiesburg Police Department, officers were dispatched to the 200 block of Walley Street around 4:30 a.m. on Friday, November 15, 2024, in response to a report of a stolen vehicle.

After a brief investigation, officers located and apprehended Marcus Loftin within an hour at the 100 block of Mable Street. Loftin was found in possession of stolen property linked to a prior auto burglary incident.

Loftin has been charged with grand larceny auto and auto burglary, and he has been booked into the Forrest County Jail.
