HOUSTON — Harris County deputy Michael Fontenot Jr., 34, was arrested on July 13, 2025, for allegedly exposing himself inside a Dollar Store in August 2024. He has since posted bail set at $100.

According to court records, the alleged incident took place on August 11, 2024, at a Dollar Store on Little York Road. A witness reported seeing a man “playing with” his genitals while browsing merchandise. The witness did not make eye contact with the suspect but informed a store employee. After the suspect left the store, the witness attempted to confront him outside but lost sight.

The witness then spotted the suspect driving away with the vehicle’s window down, noted the license plate, and recorded a video. The plate was registered to Fontenot, leading detectives to interview the witness in March 2025, who positively identified Fontenot in photo lineups.

The Harris County Sheriff’s Office immediately reassigned Fontenot to an administrative role with no law enforcement duties upon arrest. An internal affairs investigation is ongoing, and the sheriff’s administrative disciplinary committee will review the evidence to determine if further disciplinary action, including possible termination, is warranted.

The exposure charge against Fontenot was officially filed in April 2025. No further information is currently available regarding the time gap between the incident and arrest.
