Peytona, WV – Early Saturday morning, a Boone County woman, Hannah Christian, was arrested following a violent domestic disturbance that resulted in multiple assaults on law enforcement officers.
At about 12:01 a.m., the Boone County 911 Center received a call reporting a disturbance at a residence on Toney’s Branch Road in Peytona. West Virginia State Police troopers, including Senior Trooper M.S. Hall, Trooper D.M. Copley, A.M. Kirk, and G.R. Spencer, responded promptly.
Officers met the male victim outside the home, who said he and his girlfriend Christian live together and had been drinking heavily. He noticed Christian bleeding and attempted to check on her, but she allegedly began kicking and attacking him. Officers saw visible blood on the victim’s right wrist.
When troopers contacted Christian at the front door, she reportedly tried to shut the door on an officer and punched Trooper Copley in the face. A struggle followed as officers tried to arrest her. Christian screamed profanities, kicked officers, and became more aggressive. After being restrained, she continued to act belligerently by hurling racial slurs, derogatory remarks, and spitting on Trooper Spencer during transport.
Christian is currently held at Southwestern Regional Jail awaiting arraignment on charges including domestic battery, battery on a law enforcement officer, obstruction, and disorderly conduct.
