On Tuesday, Jagiroad police arrested Hamida Khatun, a woman from Rajapukhuri village under the Sarupathar police station, after recovering 60 grams of banned drugs from her possession.
Khatun was traveling by train from Dimapur when authorities received a tip-off about her suspicious activities. Acting on this information, the police launched a search operation within the train and apprehended her.
The woman was found in possession of the banned substances, and further investigation is currently underway. The police are working to determine the source and destination of the drugs.
