In a strong move against drug trafficking, Guwahati police successfully arrested three individuals involved in heroin peddling during coordinated raids across the city. Significant quantities of heroin were seized in these operations.
Acting on a tip-off, officers from Jalukbari Outpost raided a hideout near Jalukbari Roundabout and detained Amin Ali from Lakhinagar. Authorities recovered a soap case and four vials of heroin totaling 41.26 grams from his possession. Legal action is underway against him.
In a separate bust, Panbazar Police apprehended 27-year-old Rejakul Ali of Chapor near the No. 2 Rail Gate area, confiscating seven vials of heroin weighing 9.22 grams. Charges have been filed accordingly.
Meanwhile, Azara Police arrested 22-year-old Pinku Ali of Azara after discovering 12 vials of heroin, approximately 17 grams, in his possession. Investigations continue as authorities intensify efforts to curb drug crimes in the region.
