Gurugram police conducted a major crackdown on drug trafficking by arresting four drug peddlers from different parts of the city and recovering a significant quantity of illegal substances. The seized drugs include 4,167 grams of marijuana, 81 grams of charas, and 8.34 grams of smack (heroin).
The Sikanderpur Crime Unit arrested Mukesh Kumar, a Delhi resident, near MG Road, recovering 2,064 grams of marijuana from him. In the same operation, another drug peddler, Sonu, from Sataran village in Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, was apprehended with 8.34 grams of heroin.
Separately, the Nathupur Police Chowki team arrested two more accused from DLF Phase 3 — Sandeep from Kitlan village, Bhiwani, and Prince Kumar alias Piyush from Ramnagar village, Bhagalpur, Bihar. From them, police seized 2,103 grams of marijuana and 81 grams of charas.
Police investigations revealed that the accused had procured the drugs from Inderpuri and Najafgarh areas in Delhi before supplying them in Gurugram. The interrogation is ongoing to uncover the full network.
A police spokesperson confirmed the arrests and emphasized the department’s commitment to dismantling narcotics supply chains in the region.
