Gurugram Police Arrest Five Accused in Organized Crime, Seize Weapons

Criminals involved in multiple thefts across Delhi, Gurugram, and Nuh arrested

A Crime Branch team from the Gurugram Police arrested five individuals with illegal weapons for their involvement in organized crime spanning Delhi, Gurugram, and Nuh, officials said. The arrests occurred on the intervening night of Tuesday and Wednesday, near the Dhankot canal in Gurugram.

Acting on secret information, the police quickly assembled a special team and conducted a raid at the designated spot, resulting in the apprehension of the criminals.

The arrested individuals were identified as Paramjeet alias Gyani, Pawan alias Pony alias Matru (from Rohtak), Mahesh (from Sohna, Gurugram), Prem (from Bhiwani), and Majlis alias Sappi (from Bharatpur, Rajasthan).

During the raid, authorities recovered a pistol, two live cartridges, one master key, 12 bikes, one tempo, and a Scorpio vehicle, all linked to the accused.

A case was filed against the group under relevant sections at the Rajendra Park police station in Gurugram. During their interrogation, it was revealed that the group had stolen a Scorpio car from Delhi and was involved in 12 theft incidents across Gurugram, as well as one theft in Nuh.

Criminal records showed that Paramjeet had previous cases related to assault and attempted murder in Rohtak, while Pawan had six theft cases in Rohtak, Bhiwani, and Jhajjar. Prem faced several theft-related charges in Bhiwani, Rohtak, and other areas, while Mahesh had multiple cases in Nuh.

The accused will be presented in court for further legal proceedings, and investigations are continuing, according to Gurugram police spokesperson Sandeep Kumar.
