Gandhidham police conducted a raid on a hotel in the Jawahar Nagar area on Wednesday, arresting two men from Punjab with 34.43 grams of mephedrone (MD) valued at Rs 17.21 lakh.
The arrested individuals, Gurudevsingh Jat (48) from Tarn Taran district and Balsingh Laghad (50) from Amritsar district, were caught following a specific tip-off. According to Inspector M D Chaudhary of Gandhidham City ‘A’ Division police station, the duo had arrived at the hotel to deliver the drugs.
An FIR has been registered against them under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act at the Gandhidham City ‘A’ Division police station as the investigation continues.
