A 19-year-old man named Rahul from Gujarat’s Gandhinagar has been arrested for killing a man over messages sent to his fiancée on Instagram. Rahul and an accomplice were taken into custody following the fatal incident.
The victim, Dashrath, went missing on December 28, prompting his family to file a complaint. Police launched an investigation and discovered his body near Dholakunwa village that same night.
During the inquiry, Rahul revealed that he had access to his fiancée’s Instagram account and had seen messages from Dashrath. The two accused confronted Dashrath in Dholakunwa, urging him to stop messaging Rahul’s fiancée. However, Dashrath refused and vowed to continue.
In a fit of anger, Rahul stabbed Dashrath to death with a knife before fleeing the scene with his friend. Police confirmed that Rahul’s fiancée is from Mehsana, and Dashrath had started messaging her after seeing her during a visit to relatives in Dholakunwa.
