The Government Railway Police (GRP) made a significant drug bust at Kalyan station by recovering 20.86 kilograms of ganja from two passengers, Mehtab Alam Irshad Alam Sheikh and Lal Ahmed Momin Amin Kotki.
The arrests followed suspicious behavior observed as the men disembarked from the Puri Express. Officials found unusually large bags on the suspects, and a search revealed the contraband valued at approximately Rs 4.17 lakh.
Both individuals have been charged under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act. The GRP is actively investigating the source of the seized ganja to dismantle the distribution network behind it. Authorities are committed to tracing the supply chain and prosecuting all involved.
