Griffin Scott Littlefield II Arrested in $60K Theft Spanning Athens and Decatur
DECATUR, Ala. (WHNT) — A man has been arrested in connection to a $60,000 theft from an Athens business that also involved criminal activity in Decatur.
According to the Decatur Police Department (DPD), the theft was reported in November 2024. Approximately $8,000 of the stolen property was taken within Decatur city limits. After an investigation, police identified Griffin Scott Littlefield and his son, Griffin Scott Littlefield II, as suspects.
Warrants for first-degree theft of property were issued for both men. On May 1, Littlefield II was arrested by Athens Police and later transferred to Decatur authorities. He was booked into the Morgan County Jail and has since been released on a $5,000 bond.
DPD officials confirmed that the investigation is ongoing and that Griffin Scott Littlefield Sr. still has an outstanding warrant.
