MORRIS COUNTY, NJ — Gregory Rademacher, 71, of Washington Township, has been arrested on multiple charges related to sexual assault and possession of child sexual abuse material, officials announced.

Morris County Prosecutor Robert J. Carroll, Chief of Detectives Robert McNally, and Washington Township Police Chief Jeffrey Almer stated that Rademacher faces:

One count of Sexual Assault (second-degree)

One count of Endangering the Welfare of a Child – sexual conduct with a minor under 18 (second-degree)

One count of Possession of Child Sexual Abuse Material (third-degree)

One count of Witness Tampering (third-degree)

The charges stem from allegations made by a 10-year-old child who reported that Rademacher committed multiple acts of sexual contact during a visit to his Washington Township home on July 27, 2025. The child also alleged that Rademacher showed him a sex toy.

Following a search warrant at Rademacher’s residence, authorities seized electronic devices containing alleged child sexual abuse material.

Rademacher was arrested on August 4, 2025. The State has filed a motion to detain him pretrial, which is currently pending.

Prosecutor Carroll commended the Washington Township Police Department and the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office Sex Crimes/Child Endangerment Unit for their investigative efforts.

Officials urge anyone with information about the case to contact the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office Sex Crimes/Child Endangerment Unit at 973-285-6200.
