Gregory Joseph Daisley, a 25-year-old man, has been arrested in connection to a vandalism incident that occurred last summer in Sydney, N.S.

On August 11, 2024, a number of newly-planted trees and decorative lighting on Charlotte Street were damaged, resulting in more than $10,000 in total damage.

Cape Breton Regional Police had been actively searching for the suspect, and an arrest warrant was issued following multiple unsuccessful attempts to locate him. On Thursday morning, police announced that Daisley had been found and taken into custody.

Daisley now faces multiple charges, including mischief (damage to property), breach of probation, and several violations of court-ordered release conditions. He is set to appear in Sydney provincial court.
