Gregory Goodwin Arrested for Domestic Violence in Decatur, AL

Accused of assaulting children's mother, held on $10K bond

DECATUR, AL – A Decatur man, Gregory Goodwin, was arrested and charged with second-degree domestic violence after allegedly assaulting the mother of his children.

Incident Details
On March 19, 2025, officers from the Decatur Police Department (DPD) responded to a domestic disturbance at a residence on Lynnwood Circle SW.

Upon arrival, officers discovered a woman suffering from a head wound. Authorities determined that Goodwin was responsible for the assault.

🔹 The victim was treated on the scene before being transported to Parkway Medical Center for non-life-threatening injuries.

A detective from DPD’s Violent Crime Unit took over the investigation, leading to an arrest warrant being issued for Goodwin.

Arrest & Charges
On March 20, 2025, Goodwin was located by officers and taken into custody.

🔹 He was booked into the Morgan County Jail on a $10,000 bond for second-degree domestic violence.

Authorities have not released further details as the investigation remains ongoing.
