WACO, Texas — A McLennan County Grand Jury has indicted Gregory Clay on an enhanced charge of murder for the fatal shooting of Keith Cobb II in early February.
Clay was formally charged on May 8, stemming from a February 5 incident in which Waco Police responded to reports of a shooting near Ozark Drive and Howard Street at around 7:15 p.m. Officers found Cobb with gunshot wounds; he was transported to a hospital but later died from his injuries.
After a three-week investigation, authorities arrested Clay on February 26 with assistance from the U.S. Marshals’ Lone Star Fugitive Task Force. Waco Police have expressed gratitude to the task force for their help in locating the suspect.
Clay now faces an enhanced murder charge, and further court proceedings are pending.
