GRADY COUNTY, Ga. (WALB) — Authorities in Grady County have conducted the largest drug bust in the county’s history, seizing several pounds of meth and marijuana during a February 21 raid.
The Grady County Sheriff’s Office (GCSO) arrested 43-year-old Tequan Johnson, who was allegedly trafficking drugs from his home. Deputies confiscated:
3 pounds of methamphetamine
109 grams of marijuana
Sheriff Earl Prince emphasized the importance of the operation, calling it a crucial step in combating the area’s drug problem.
“Our problem with drugs is significant, but with my new team in place, we are moving forward with our goal of curbing drug activity in this county,” said Prince. “This is just the first step of many.”
Johnson is currently being held at the Grady County Jail, facing trafficking charges, with additional charges pending.
