Goshamahal Police arrested Nagesh Goud (40), a resident of Chudi Bazar, in connection with a house burglary case, recovering stolen gold ornaments valued at Rs9.2 lakh.
The recovered items include a necklace weighing 25.185 grams, a long necklace of 39.640 grams, a mangalsutra weighing 29.700 grams, and a pair of earrings totaling 0.540 grams, adding up to 95.065 grams of gold.
The case came to light after K. Shashidhar, a resident of the area, filed a complaint on May 22, reporting that his house was broken into the previous day and jewelry was missing from his bedroom.
Police acted swiftly, using CCTV footage and location analysis to track and arrest Goud on Monday. Investigators gathered technical evidence and kept surveillance on local suspects before making the arrest.
