The Anti Narcotic Cell (ANC) of Goa Police arrested 28-year-old Krishna Sonkellu, a resident of Kerala, after recovering methamphetamine worth Rs6.82 lakh from a guest house in Arambol. Krishna was found in possession of 45.5 grams of methamphetamine, believed to have been brought to Goa from Pune.
Police officials suspect that Krishna Sonkellu is connected to an international drug trafficking network. The ANC is currently investigating his role and the wider operations of the drug racket.
The arrest marks a significant breakthrough in the ongoing efforts to curb the supply of narcotics in Goa, a popular tourist destination often targeted by drug traffickers.
