Glenn Black, Jimmy Burton Charged in Scottsville Burglary

Duo accused of breaking into home, stealing property

SCOTTSVILLE, Ky. – Two Scottsville residents, 43-year-old Glenn Black and 54-year-old Jimmy Burton, were arrested and charged after allegedly breaking into a home and stealing items.

On May 10, Allen County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a reported theft at a residence on Maysville Road. The investigation revealed that the home had been unlawfully entered and several items were taken.

Authorities quickly identified Black and Burton as the suspects. Both men were taken into custody and transported to the Allen County Detention Center. They are each charged with second-degree burglary and theft by unlawful taking or disposition of all others.

Fortunately, the stolen property was recovered and returned to its rightful owner. The investigation remains ongoing.
