GLENDALE, Calif. — Authorities have arrested seven men connected to a dramatic rooftop burglary of a Glendale jewelry store where thieves stole an estimated $2 million in merchandise.
The burglary occurred around 1 a.m. on May 27, when suspects broke into Bidrussian Jewelry by cutting through the store’s roof. Owner Manial Bidrussian described the aftermath as “a warzone,” saying the burglars emptied the safes and left the store in ruins.
Following the heist, Glendale Police launched an investigation, developing leads and identifying a group of suspects. Their efforts paid off when they learned the same group was planning another rooftop burglary — this time in La Verne, on June 29.
During the attempted break-in, suspects reportedly used signal jammers and cut wires at the target location. As they began forcing entry through the roof, a coordinated law enforcement team, including the La Verne Police Department, intervened and made multiple arrests.
Eight suspects were at the scene; seven were taken into custody. According to Glendale police, all suspects are foreign nationals believed to be tied to similar criminal activity in both the U.S. and their countries of origin.
The arrested individuals are:
Jose Millafil
Javier Sepulveda
Cristian Gonzalezaburto
Luka Pazitiani
Vera Matias
Victor Iturriagalopez
Edson Gonzalez
Authorities continue to investigate potential links to other high-value burglaries across jurisdictions.
