PARAGUOLD, Ark. — A Paragould man was arrested following a domestic altercation reportedly involving violence in front of young children.
Officers responded to a Paragould residence on Dec. 16, 2025, after receiving a report of a domestic disturbance. According to the probable-cause affidavit, the alleged victim told police she had been involved in a physical confrontation with 35-year-old Gerrad Moore.
The victim said Moore had kicked one of her young children in the chest, which triggered the altercation. During the incident, Moore allegedly choked and struck the victim.
Police said Moore left the residence before their arrival but returned shortly after. Statements he made to officers reportedly corroborated the alleged victim’s account.
Following the investigation, officers determined there was probable cause for arrest. Moore was charged with second-degree battery, a Class C felony, and aggravated assault on a family or household member, a Class D felony.
Bail had not been set at the time of reporting. Authorities emphasize that all suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
