Geremy Jackson Wanted for $18K Retail Theft Spree

Waldorf Man Faces Multiple Felony Theft Charges

by Sophia Bennett

LA PLATA, Md. — A 30-year-old Waldorf man, Geremy Malik Jackson, has been indicted by a Charles County grand jury following a months-long investigation into a series of high-value retail thefts across Charles and Calvert counties, with total losses exceeding $18,000. A bench warrant has been issued, and Jackson is now wanted on multiple felony theft charges.

The indictment, filed on July 25, 2025, consolidates several incidents from a crime spree that began in February 2025. Charging documents allege that Jackson repeatedly targeted Home Depot and Lowe’s stores in Waldorf, taking shopping carts filled with thousands of dollars in power tools. On March 24, he allegedly used an in-store ladder to reach high shelves and placed power nailers into a trash bag he brought, escaping with merchandise valued at over $2,600.

Jackson’s most recent and costly alleged theft occurred on July 13, 2025, at a Verizon store in Prince Frederick. According to Calvert County charging documents, a masked man cut numerous smartphones and headphones from security displays and fled on foot, stealing electronics valued at over $9,500.

Investigators from the Charles and Calvert County sheriff’s offices used store surveillance footage, anonymous tips, and information from the Southern Maryland Intelligence Center to link the thefts. Jackson was positively identified by comparing surveillance images with MVA and prior booking photos.

The Charles County indictment charges Jackson with two felony counts of theft scheme ($1,500 to under $25,000). He faces an additional felony theft charge in Calvert County for the Verizon incident. In Maryland, each felony theft charge carries up to five years in prison and fines up to $10,000.

A bench warrant for Jackson’s arrest was issued by Judge William R. Greer, Jr., on July 25, 2025, with no bond. The Calvert County case hearing for the Verizon store theft is scheduled for September 8, 2025.
