Georgianne Blakeslee Charged in Insurance Fraud Case

Ex-insurance worker accused of forgery, grand larceny

GLOVERSVILLE, NY (WRGB) — A former employee of Salvione Insurance Agency, Inc. is facing serious felony charges after allegedly stealing from customers and falsifying records, the Gloversville Police Department announced.

Georgianne Blakeslee, 42, of Johnstown, is accused of misappropriating insurance premium payments from clients and issuing fraudulent receipts to conceal the theft. Investigators say she altered company records to falsely indicate that payments had been applied to active policies.

As a result of the investigation, Blakeslee has been charged with:

6 counts of Forgery in the Second Degree

6 counts of Falsifying Business Records in the Second Degree

1 count of Grand Larceny in the Fourth Degree

1 count of Unlawful Possession of Personal Identification Information in the Third Degree

She was arraigned in Gloversville City Court and released on her own recognizance.

Police say the scheme potentially impacted numerous customers between April 2021 and March 2025, resulting in insurance lapses, registration suspensions, and driver’s license issues.

The Salvione Insurance Agency is cooperating with law enforcement and helped identify multiple victims.
