CRAVEN COUNTY, NC — A New Bern woman already on probation was arrested on January 6 following a joint investigation by local law enforcement and probation officers, facing multiple felony drug charges.
The Craven County Sheriff’s Office Special Investigation Bureau executed a search warrant at a residence on Connie Lee Drive. Probation officers conducting a routine search discovered illegal narcotics, prompting the full search.
Investigators seized roughly two pounds of marijuana, along with THC wax, vape pens, and edibles.
Genesis Gabriella Rivera-Torres, 20, was arrested and charged with:
Four felony counts of possession with intent to manufacture, sell, and deliver a Schedule VI controlled substance
Four felony counts of possession of a Schedule VI controlled substance
One felony count of maintaining a dwelling for the sale of a controlled substance
One misdemeanor count of possession of marijuana paraphernalia
One felony probation violation
Rivera-Torres was already on probation for felony trafficking of a Schedule I controlled substance and felony possession with intent to sell a Schedule VI controlled substance at the time of her arrest.
She is being held at the Craven County Confinement Facility under a $200,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Thursday, January 7.
