In a dramatic daylight operation, excise officials in Hyderabad arrested Angoori Bai, also known as Aruna Bai, the notorious ‘Ganja Don’ of Dhoolpet, as she stepped out of her house for a meeting with her daughter in Karwan.
Angoori Bai, who had been on the run for some time, was wanted in at least 10 Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) cases across various Excise stations, including Dhoolpet, Mangalhat, and Asifnagar in Hyderabad, as well as Gowraram in Siddipet. Her arrest marks the final capture in the successful ‘Operation Dhoolpet’, aimed at cracking down on drug trafficking in the region.
