A 30-year-old Frostproof man, Corey Ahearn, is behind bars after allegedly attacking three individuals with an 8-inch knife early Saturday morning. Ahearn was arrested by the Polk County Sheriff’s Office (PCSO) and taken to the Polk County Jail on May 17, 2025.
According to the PCSO, deputies responded to a disturbance report at a residence on Queens Court in Frostproof around 3:29 a.m. Upon arrival, deputies found two men and one woman with superficial cuts. The victims reported that Ahearn had been yelling about the government and brandishing the knife while swinging it at them and a nearby window.
Deputies were able to take Ahearn into custody without incident. He now faces three counts of Aggravated Battery with a Deadly Weapon, one count of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon, and one count of Improper Exhibition of a Dangerous Weapon.
